Today, game publisher and developer Playlogic Entertainment announced that its highly anticipated Horror Survival Game “Obscure II” will go on sale tomorrow in Europe. The accompanying website is also online.

Starting this Friday Obscure II will go on sale in most European territories, the remaining territories will follow during the course of September. Stefan Layer, CMSO/VP of Playlogic International N.V: “I am really looking forward to seeing Obscure II available in stores. This game deserves to be a success and the enthusiastic feedback from the press only strengthens me in that opinion. For all territories we are working with experienced distribution partners to secure adequate shelf space.”

Now, the survivors have picked up their lives and joined college. But all is not right on Fallcreek University; strange black flowers have suddenly sprung up everywhere on campus. While experimenting with these flowers in class, a dangerous
substance is discovered that induces strange but vivid dreams.
A handful of students finds out that there is more to the flowers than anyone could have expected; when the seeds finally germinate, a bad trip suddenly turns into a horrible reality…

Golf with Style”, also known as “Super Swing Golf”. The game has took nine months to reach the shores of Australia.

There is a difference though in the Australian and North American version. One example is the ability to exchange items in offline mode by entering codes into your Wii for extra items. And although there is no multi-player available, it has been hinted by the games publisher Techmo, that there might be pay-to-play downloadable content.

So lets see if the nine month delay/wait was worth it.

We are almost upon the release of “Metroid Prime 3: Corruption”. The third and final chapter in the Metroid Prime trilogy. It makes it’s debut on the Wii tomorrow(8/21).

This month has been coined by NOA(Nintendo of America) as “The Month of Metroid”. And they have delivered. First was the release of first classic title on the NES early this month. Followed by “Super Metroid” on SNES through the virtual console.

There has been a lot of people gankin on the game, saying “it was a GameCube game, not a Wii game”. My answer to that is….so what, it’s Metroid. One of the best Nintendo franchises.

Now I can’t help but mention that tomorrow there will be some stiff competition for Samus. Out on the DS tomorrow is the sequel to the hit brain trainer “Brain Age”, which will be called, you guessed it, “Brain Age 2″, but not only that, Nintendo will be bundling it with their new colored DS Lite, which is crimson(dark red) on the top half, and onyx(black) on the bottom half.

Another HUGE release, which I have played and have a review up at Liveforxbox.com is “BioShock”. This game has been gaining and gaining more and more steam. This is going to be a trifecta of competition, so if you have the coin i recommend all three.

Heres the word from Nintendo on Mariio Party 8 if you have’nt <del datetime="2007-05-29T18:58:38+00:00">heard</del>, read:

“Nintendo is bringing the carnival to town, and this time the party is going to get players up and moving. Mario Party® 8 is the first Mario Party game for Wii™ from Nintendo, and the first in the series to incorporate motion controls.

In this carnival-themed excursion, players might use the Wii Remote™ to punch the air to chip away at a statue, point it at the screen to shoot at targets or balance it like a tightrope walker’s pole. The amazing functions of the Wii Remote add a new level of hilarious competition. This new Mario Party installment includes new boards, characters, moves and minigames.

Since the original Mario Party debuted in 1999 on Nintendo® 64, the franchise has been a perpetual fan favorite, selling nearly 6.5 million in the United States alone. It’s the video game version of a board game, where each player takes a turn moving spaces. Then everyone competes in a fast-paced minigame at the end of the round. Its controls are fun and easy enough that every member of the family can join in. Mario Party 8 lets players get into the action like never before, and is a great follow-up for gamers and families who had fun competing in Wii Sports™.

Mario Party 8, Rated E for Everyone, launches May 29. For more information about Mario Party 8, please visit www.MarioParty.com.”

“Electronic Arts announced The Godfather: Blackhand Edition is set for release on Wii. The Godfather: Blackhand Edition gives an enhanced combat experience with motion-based Blackhand Control by integrating Nintendo’s innovative Wii Remote controller.

Take over the Big Apple in this fully interactive, open-world game based on the classic film by Paramount Pictures and the critically-acclaimed book by Mario Puzo.

The game offers brand new ways to go from Soldier to Don as you gain control of the streets of New York. Follow the path of an Enforcer or Operator–each with its own unique perks and abilities to earn. Now you can chat up specific characters to get the skinny on dirty cops, take down two additional revised compounds of rival Families, execute five new contract hits, and call in larger Corleone Hit Squads when the going gets tough.

For hyper-intuitive Blackhand Control in The Godfather: Blackhand Edition, gamers use gestures with the Wii Remote and Nunchuk controllers to really beat down your opposition or point directly at the screen using the Wii Remote for pinpoint firearm accuracy.”

I have played the Playstation version. The Wii version for me has yet to be played. Even though I am a HUGE Godfather fan, I may pass on this. The game is intriguing though because of the fighting style used with the Wii remote, so I think I shall rent it to check it out.
